What is the difference between monument styles?


Flat Grass Markers


Sometimes referred to as a grass or flat marker, it is a memorial that is placed into the ground surrounded in concrete. This leaves the face of the monument flush with the ground. Many cemeteries require this monument style for their ease of ground care and landscape maintenance.

Pillowed Grass Marker


Pillowed monument style the face has a slight bevel to it and is placed above ground on a granite base or on a concrete foundation. The dimensions vary but our standard is 3” to 4” above ground. About a 7 degree slope. The sides on a bevel are what we call balanced rock pitch.

Slant Monuments


This is a monument style that is placed above ground on a granite base whose face is on a slant and is 16″ tall. The top of the slant can vary from a serpentine,to flat.The front and the back are polished, you can have the top and or the sides polished.Typically the back and front are polished and the sides are rock pitched.

Upright Monuments


This monument style is what it sounds like. It stands above ground sitting on a proportioned base. Different heights are available; our standard size is 20” tall. sizes available but the size can vary and is limited to budget, cemetery regulations, and good judgment.The front and the back are polished, you can have the top and or the sides polished.Typically the back and front are polished and the sides are rock pitched. Our upright monument has 2 popular top styles to choose from and they are as follows;
• Serpentine Top
• Flat Top
